i. something out there
i realized that the only thing you can do about a mistake never to be undone is to say your apologies. so that at night, you can sleep without thinking about how stupid you acted.
it's not enough but it's the most one can do. and even if it is an act too short for retribution, it somehow manages to push us through. at least, until the day things will come to rest.
i was given and i refused.
